Honors Math
Geometry, Algebra 2 and Advanced Math for PLTW Students
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) students receive instruction in engineering and mathematics in a unique program designed to provide a solid foundation in applied mathematics, paired with real world applications in engineering. This program also allows students to receive a core math credit and a STEM elective credit in a single morning or afternoon session at BPSTIL. Students split their time rotating between the PLTW engineering lab and a mathematics classroom.
Honors mathematics courses currently offered include
Geometry (paired with Intro to Engineering Design)
Algebra 2 (paired with Principles of Engineering)
Advanced Math – Trigonometry (paired with Engineering Design and Development).
These math courses are equivalent to courses available at students’ home schools, with additional enrichment linked to the engineering curriculum.
